OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVER
An entry level program designed to develop a
competent, recreational diver.
The program consists of online or classroom
academics, 2 classroom review sessions,
and 5 pool sessions where students develop
their knowledge and skills under the careful
supervision of our highly trained staff.
We offer the Open Water class every month starting on the first
weekend of the month.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
There are two parts to becoming certified: confined water dives
(Classroom/ Pool sessions) and then you must complete 4 Open Water
dives (in a lake, quarry, or the ocean) in order to be fully

WHAT DO I NEED?
We do ask that you have your own personal gear, which can all be
purchased at our shop location on Wallace street in Downtown
Personal Gear includes:
- Dive Boots
gear will run you about $250-$300 depending on what you choose
We will provide you with everything
else you need in order to get certified!
The SCUBA Shack offer a course in just
about everything you can imagine. We offer everything from Fish ID and
Buoyancy all the way to Instructor and even offer several technical classes.
